Everyone that knows me knows that I am hardline conservative. A veritable warhawk if ever there was one. After months, quite literally, of research on both candidates I’ve decided to vote against my party. Yes, this year I plan on voting for Obama and Biden. I can’t help myself.
McCain has shown himself to be a middle-of-the-road politician that has truly failed to bring anything even resembling change to the table (let the hatemail begin…), much less give me one solid reason to vote Republican. Moreover, Sarah Palin may be the dumbest human being I’ve ever seen run on a presidential ticket.
I will spare you more of my political ramblings as I could go on for quite some time. I imagine the hatemail and bandwagon emails will start to roll in soon. It won’t bother me, peer pressure is never something that be in your mind when it comes to electing a President.
Mr. Obama: You inspired this Political Science graduate to register to vote. Good luck and I hope our country is not wrong in choosing you to lead.

I am so happy! Not because I am a democrat that wants republicans to come to my side, but because I am a moderate who could be swayed either way, and I completely agree with what you have to say about McCain, and you didn’t simply vote for McCain solely because you are Republican. If only everyone that was voting was as educated as you.
[...] Book Review: An Inconvenient Book 14 07 2010 I suppose, before I even get into this book, that I should mention that I have been a devout Republican all my life. I don’t believe in gay marriage. I don’t believe in abortion (to an extent). I love my guns. All the steadfast tenants of being a Republican. (Full disclosure: I did vote for Obama this year. Reasons here.) [...]
